1953 Old Montgomery Highway, Hoover, AL 35244 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Everyone in attendance is welcome to share their story - where they were, where they are now and how they got there.   Please attempt to keep your share to 10 minutes or under.

At the conclusion of the event everyone is welcome to continue sharing over lunch.  The Saturday meeting has a tradition of lunching at Logan's Steakhouse on Hwy 150 in front of Wal-Mart.

The regularly scheduled Saturday meeting at Riverchase United Methodist Church has graciously offered their meeting time and location.   The event will be subsidized by the Central Alabama Intergroup and 7th Tradition collections.  Lunch will be on your own.

Fall 2008 Retreat Planning!

Due to the overwhelming recovery and the demand of our groups (meetings) the Central Alabama Inter-Group (CAIG) is going to sponsor another retreat this fall!!

Whether you were at the 2007 retreat or not, if you would like to get involved...we'd love to have you! A committee is currently forming and everyone is welcome to be on it. Amount of time involved being on a committee should be no more than a few hours per month.

If you are interested, just email Leenie afolsom126@charter.net and let her know!

OA Public Awareness Campaign

Delegates to the 2007 World Service Business Conference passed a motion to support a national Public Awareness Campaign and to use $20,000 from OA's reserves to get the campaign started. The goal of the campaign is to educate the public on the mission and successes of Overeaters Anonymous in helping compulsive eaters recover and reach healthy physical, emotional and spiritual states.

Due to the Public Awareness Campaign, we currently have an increased need for members who are willing to speak to the media. The link for the form below is for members who are interested in talking to the media about OA.
